My passion began from a young age as I grew up seeing my mom work with children, as a teacher. I took every opportunity to help her when I could. I then studied psychology at the University of Witwatersrand and completed my honours. I completed a post graduate certificate in education and taught for a year at a school. This gave me an invaluable glimpse into the behind the scenes side of a public school in South Africa. I went on to complete my masters in Educational Psychology and an internship at a non-profit organization. Since then I’ve been in a combination of private practice, schools and nonprofit work. I’ve always had a passion for speaking for children and believe that intervention at a young age is priceless. Assisting a child during the crucial stages of their development may help them to grow into their full potential as adults.
